I have been working on some personal assignments. Here it is. A bloody floor. I am using Mental ray to render.

I did a tracking of my classmate face. Then I used Zbrush to create a displacement map. I also used Zbrush to create the devil's eye.

This is my VFX short film for my school project. And I would like to share to everyone.

My story is about a soldier named Joseph who belongs to a special unit. His last assignment is to kill a drug dealer. Joe is given an order to kill everyone in the drug dealer’s house. When he walks inside the house, he notices many woman and children are also in the house. He cannot stop his team to kill the children. He is subconsciously feeling guilty. He cannot go back to battle field and he starts to take drug which he believes will make he forgets what he did. The drug has side effects. Delusions. Joseph experiences the side-effects, but he is also remembering the past murders. He cannot tell them apart. As the hallucination become increasingly bizarre.

This is the matte painting for my final project. I went to downtown Oakville take some photos. Then I used photoshop to get ride of the snow, cars and wire. Worked on the colour, made the street looks like an abandon city.

Zdzisław Beksiński is one of the best known fantasy artist in the world. I try to put some of his artistic element into my final project.


I just modeled a low_poly cars, since there will be at least 25 cars on the street. And the cars are 30 feet away from the camera.

I’ve been working on my final project for my VFX program. It involved some mystery and horror .
We started to do the set up in the morning 6:45a.m. Thank so much for the cafe owner who opened the cafe early for us. We finished everything around 11:00a.m. There were not too many customers showed up that's day which was good.

We were using 2 LED lights, and the big window helped a lot as well.
